Welcome to Tall Stacks of Books!

Just like Pringles...

I have always had a love for reading. I loved going to the library as a kid (let’s be honest as an adult too) and taking home as many books as they would allow and I would engulf them in a week or two and go back and do it all over again. It started with the Babysitter’s Club and Sweet Valley Twins. God, how much I loved those books. Back when I was a kid, I would have stacks of books EVERYWHERE. Bookshelf, who?! My parents were divorced and I lived with my Mom. Whenever my Dad had his visits, I would drag him to the bookstore in the mall. Or to the library.

Reading was an amazing escape for me. It allowed me to live in another world where there were these fantastic things happening to these wonderful characters and I wanted that for myself. So I would consume as many books as I could. My mom would have to come in my room at night and turn off my lights and tell me to go to sleep because I would stay up reading so late! Or she would have to turn off the lights and remove my glasses because I would fall asleep reading. I broke many pairs that way! On the nights she demanded I go to sleep, I hid a flashlight in my room and would burrow under the covers to read. I was that kid that was made to go outside because I was constantly indoors reading. But that didn't stop me! I would take Nancy, Jess, Elizabeth, Kristy and her crew, or whoever I had my head buried into that week, outside with me.

Problem. Solved.

This is me almost everyday...

Growing up into the adult that I think I am today, I still carry that with me. I still love to read above all else. I still stay up late into the wee hours of the morning to finish a book (nothing like a book hangover). Now, I don't have to worry about Mom screaming about the lights... I still would much rather be curled up inside reading instead of heading out or hanging out with people (yay introverts!).

And read!

That’s why I created this blog. I want to share my world with you. I want to find more like minded individuals to discuss my favorite books with. So if you’re down to be my BFF (Book Friend Forever) hit the follow button on my blog, on my twitter, or leave a comment on this post! I definitely would love to be a BFF to you!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see more of you!
