It’s a new month! One I’m super excited for!
September means that Fall is here and with it comes the
awesomeness that is Fall TV! Not only that, I am starting a new TBR (to be
read) list as well!
I have tons of books on my TBR List and I select a few books
each month to try to put a dent in it.
Which doesn’t work.
Every time I read a few, more than a few get added to the
list! Never ending cycle, I tell ya. To be honest, it doesn’t bother me that
much… Just means I will never run out of things to read!
So without further ado, here is my TBR List for September!
Commitment by Nia Forrester
It
was obvious to everyone but them they were all wrong for each other. Riley is a
free-spirited boho writer and Shawn is a magnetic and charismatic rapper,
riding the highest crest of his career. She doesn't understand his world and he
sure as hell doesn't understand hers. And what's worse, while he's never
committed to any woman before, she's committed to someone else. Still, they
can't stay away from each other. Along with frequent clashes of their equally
strong wills, Shawn and Riley will have to face down opposition from friends,
family and one extremely motivated groupie, if they want to forge a commitment
that will last the test of time.
Unsuitable Men by Nia Forrester
Beautiful, accomplished and a little uptight, Tracy Emerson
thinks she has it all figured out, particularly when it comes to the kind of
man she wants to end up with. And she knows for sure that Brendan Cole is not
The One. First of all, he works in the music business, with rappers no less!
His lifestyle is wholly unsuitable for a long-term partner, and not at all
compatible with hers. But she can't help that she's incredibly attracted to him
and also can't overlook that he's always treated her better than any man ever
has. So what would be the harm in spending time with him until someone more
appropriate comes along? But soon Brendan's spirit and spontaneity break down
Tracy's walls and have her questioning whether her criteria for the perfect man
might not be all screwed up. Then, to make matters worse, as secrets and lies
from her past begin to unravel, Tracy wonders whether she might not also be a
little screwed up, and not at all the kind of woman Brendan would want in his
future

The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn,

sin.

Four Seconds to Lose by K.A Tucker
Owning a strip club isn’t the fantasy most guys expect it to
be. With long hours, a staff with enough issues to keep a psych ward in
business, and the police regularly on his case, twenty-nine-year-old Cain is
starting to second-guess his unspoken mission to save the women he employs. And
then blond, brown-eyed Charlie Rourke walks through his door, and things get
really complicated. Cain abides by a strict “no sleeping with his staff” rule.
But being around Charlie challenges Cain’s self-control . . . and it’s been a
long time since any woman has done that. Twenty-two-year-old Charlie Rourke needs a lot of money,
really fast, in order to vanish before it’s too late. Taking her clothes off
for men makes her stomach curl, but Charlie tells herself that at least she’s
putting her acting and dancing skills to good use. And though her fellow
dancers seem eager to nab their sexy, sophisticated, and genuinely caring boss,
she’s not interested. After all, Charlie Rourke doesn’t really exist—and the
girl pretending to be her can’t get distracted by romance. Unfortunately, Charlie soon discovers that developing
feelings for Cain is inevitable, and that those feelings may not be
unrequited—but losing him when he finds out what she’s involved with will be
more painful than any other sentence awaiting her.

Finding Forever by Christina C. Jones
After her latest ill-fated attempt to find a forever relationship
of her own, Tori Kennedy is content with connecting the dots for others,
bringing them together in pursuit of lifetime love. Fresh off of the demise of
her marriage, she decides to take advantage of an opportunity to do something a
little — okay, a lot — crazy, and heavily fueled by an overload of emotions. Thinking that her impulsive decision and its disastrous
results are behind her, Tori moves forward with her pursuit of a happily single
existence, until her best friend contacts her with a request that places a
constant reminder in her life : Avery. Avery Anderson is the epitome of “the kind of guy your momma
warned you about.” Handsome, successful, charming… and not at all interested in
being roped into anything that resembles love. Tori ending up in his bed
doesn’t surprise him at all — it’s just what he does— but his feelings
afterwards? That’s another story. An ultimatum placed on him by his little
sister puts him back in arm’s reach of the pretty matchmaker that he can’t get
off of his mind, but she’s not taking the bait this time. Tori just wants to be rid of him so that she can move on
with her life, and it’s not Avery’s style to chase someone who doesn’t want to
be caught. When both parties are content to let the spark flicker out, can love
— or something like that— still lead the way to forever?

A Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Christina C. Jones
Simone is a woman on a mission: Stop being boring, and fall
in love. That's easier said than done with no prospects on the
table... or under the table... or near the table. Her luck changes when fellow
neighborhood business owner Roman Taylor walks through the door of her flower
shop. Roman is single, successful, and sexy — everything Simone is
looking for to embark on a whirlwind summer romance with the potential to spark
an everlasting love. But things are never as "perfect" as they seem,
and Simone — and Roman — have to decide if they're willing to risk their hearts
when things get a little messy in their pursuit of a crazy little thing called
love.
